Reaching Others While God Reshapes You

“Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faith— to God, alone wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen.” – Romans 16:25-27

From the beginning, God intended His salvation to reach every tribe, tongue, and people. Its expansion to the Gentiles was not a surprise—it was the plan. The prophets saw it coming. Isaiah declared, “For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea” (Isaiah 11:9, NKJV). That’s God’s heart: a world saturated with the knowledge of Christ. And He invites us into that mission.

We are watching that mission unfold in our own generation. In recent years, reports have highlighted gospel movements in places like Nepal, Mongolia, and North Africa—regions once untouched by the message of Jesus. Now churches are multiplying, disciples are being made, and the gospel is advancing with power. What the prophets hinted at, we are seeing with our own eyes. The gospel is not stagnant—it is spreading. And God has chosen ordinary believers like us to carry extraordinary news. This is the gospel’s outreach.

But the gospel doesn’t only reach outward—it reaches inward. It forms hearts that obey, not out of fear, but out of love. Romans doesn’t end with law—it ends with love. Paul doesn’t describe Christians as people forced into obedience; he describes them as people captivated by a Savior. Jesus said, “If you love Me, keep My commandments” (John 14:15, NKJV). That is gospel obedience—devotion, not duty. And so Paul ends with praise: “To God, alone wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen.” The gospel begins with grace, moves through faith, and ends in glory. This is the gospel’s inreach.

Stand firm in the gospel. Carry it to others. Let it shape your heart. Be a messenger who shares the story, a worshiper who sees history through the lens of Christ, and a lover of God who obeys from the heart. The gospel is not just a message—it’s a melody. And Paul invites us to sing it with him today.

“The gospel produces outward witness because it produces inward change.” — A.W. Tozer
