“My offering, My food for My offerings made by fire as a sweet aroma to Me, you shall be careful to offer to Me at their appointed time.”
– Numbers 28:2
There is a way to approach God, and it is, and always has been, on His terms. We have been created by Him and for Him, even in the Lord’s image. We are to worship our Maker in the prescribed manner outlined. The first Adam paved the way into sin; the second Adam made the path of restoration and forgiveness of sin.
Articles are written today about the modern church. Some have claimed that Millennials are leaving the church in droves for more personal experiences. They are searching for churches that will lean more toward their way of living, whatever that might be. Organizations are changing their vision and statements of faith to accommodate a skewed view of the scriptures. This is not just happening with Millennials, though. It happens with every age group in every decade.
Various methods may be used to reach the lost soul, and as Christians, we should always look for those opportunities. However, the message should never be changed or have a different tone to cater to a particular group. When sin is pointed out, it can be offensive and, often, should be. If it is not, then there will never be repentance.
The Lord is the same yesterday, today, and forever and if we change the message of the cross of Christ, all we are doing is creating buildings full of lost souls headed straight for hell. The Bible tells us there is only one way into heaven through the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. These are God’s unchanged terms!
“I am the way, the truth, and the life, No man comes to the Father but by Me.”
John 14:6
